If your radiators are not reaching optimum temperature your pump probably is in poor condition like the one in the photograph.
The picture depicts a blockage of about 40% causing poor circulation ultimately leading to less heat transfer around the system.
We changed this pump in Carraig Dubh, Ennis and achieved an average of 25-30 degree improvement to all the radiators on the system.
The thermal image in the photograph on the right was taken before we added a cleaner and drained the system.
We then replaced the existing Wilo pump for an energy saving Grunfoss UPS 3 15-50/65 self automating central heating pump. We also changed the pump valves as the system was drained down for the installation of thermostatic radiator valves to the bedrooms and inhibitor dosing.
As you can see in the before fitting the pump and gravity flushing the raise in temperature is 27 degrees on the living room radiator which is drop fed from the first floor. The radiator is at a good temperature but we could have achieved a better result if the system was power flushed.

The dark shadow on the photo is magnetite which we can remove with our Magnaclense Rapid filter machine providing a Magnaclean unit is fitted to the system which we can fit for €180.oo prior to flush which start at €275.00 subject to survey. The customer is now considering a power flush in order to get the system back to a operate more efficient and economically, saving money on fuel and repair bills.
